The Barrymore Hotel Wins Best Signature Seafood Dish at Tampa Seaboard Seafood Festival

Crowds gathered in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park this past Saturday and Sunday to sample some of Tampa’s best local restaurants and their seafood specialties at Ken Walters‘ Seaboard Seafood Festival. Each restaurant was eyeing the top spot, but Waterworks Bar and Grill at The Barrymore Hotel Tampa Riverwalk took home not only the award for Best Signature Seafood Dish, as determined by a panel of local celebrities judges, but they also won the People’s Choice Award.

Executive Chef Rusty Evers and her professional team toiled for days and weeks ahead of time planning and preparing for the event. Rusty and her team served three exquisite creations, exclusive to Waterworks Bar and Grill: Gulf Shrimp with Habanero Glaze served atop Coconut Rice topped with Twice-Smoked Bacon; and her signature Clam Andouille Chowder with Fresh Leeks and Louisiana Andouille Sausage. Rusty also presented guests with her signature KoKo Nuts – a spicy, sweet flavor experience to be reckoned with.
